Mang Domeng’s Bibingka: delivers comfort food this quarantine season for the whole family to enjoy
My family loves Kakanin. From Puto Bungbong, Biko, Sapin-sapin, Bibingka, Suman – you name it, we’re all for it. This is one of the food that I love to see on our table specially in the morning. That sticky Suman from the market where my mo would go, paired with some white sugar to add some sweetness in it. The smell of freshly baked Bibingka, the stains on my mouth with caramelized sugar on top of the Biko. This is just so nostalgic to me.

This quarantine season, it might get a little bit difficult to get all these but good thing, I discovered that Mang Domeng’s Bibingka can deliver whether you’re in the North or South.
Yes, they’re everywhere. You know they’re that good when they have branches all over the Metro with more than 100 stalls.
They have different sizes to choose from:
Pasalubong Box (Php120) – has 2 solo cuts or 8 slices which I think should be called solo. I promise you I can finish this in one sitting. But in reality, I think 2-3 person can share this.
Barkada Box (Php180) – has 3 solo cuts or 12 slices which good for sharing for a bout 4-5 people. That depends on whether you love sweets, of course. Besides, those are thick slices.
What I love about Mang Domeng’s Bibingka, is that it’s not overly sweet. It has the right amount of sweetness that will force you to have another slice.
The sticky rice is so soft and chewy and the caramelized sugar on top were just a perfect match. This is perfect for a cup of coffee while enjoying some movies or a good conversation with your family or friends.
