Encima is a spanish term which means “Above or At Top Of.” Being at the top of the City Garden Hotel in Poblacion, Makati, this place ensures that you’d have a peaceful view of Makati specially during the sunset.
They offer Mexican and Tex-Mex food which is great for a pair of drinks may it be alcoholic or fresh juices.
For the food, we opted the one’s that’s familiar still to us. We ordered some dishes that’s perfect for sharing such as Rancho Banquette which consists of some Chicken Wings, Chili Cheese Rolls, and Chips and Dip. We enjoyed everything except for the Chili Cheese Rolls which we thought was a spicy since there’s minimal amount of cheese to contrast the spiciness of the Chili.
Rancho Banquette Php400
Gulf of Mexico has some Onion Rings, Cheese Fries and Potato Chips. This is so much fun to eat and if you have kids, this is perfect dish for them, too.
Gulf of Mexico Php360
Elotes Php95 – Corn cobs with cream cheese, chili and lime which did not disappoint.
Nachos Suprema has a hefty amount of Nacho Chips, topped with Beef, Salsa, black olives, Cilantro, spring onions. guacamole, sour cream, pica de gallo and cheese sauce.
Nachos Suprema Php370
Pizza Mexicana is something that I would highly recommend and was an instant hit. It’s a 12 inch tortilla with tomato concasse, cheese, beef, beans with crispy onion rings. It was crispy yet chewy at the same time. All the flavors just burst in your mouth.
Pizza Mexicana Php450
Apple Chimichanga (P320)
What a way to end the meal with some Apple Chimichanga. This dessert is made apples cooked with sugar and cinnamon, wrapped in tortilla flour, deep fried and then served with vanilla ice cream.
It was indeed a feast of a Mexican food shared with good friends. We had some great laughs and stories that we definitely enjoyed this night. We capped it off by enjoying the beautiful sunset which was lovely.
